​During this comprehensive four-week class, participants will delve into the intricacies of canine bumper training. The course begins by exploring the different types of bumpers used and strategies to effectively stimulate dogs' enthusiasm for playing with them. Essential skills such as catching techniques and the initial phases of tracking bumpers will be thoroughly covered.
Throughout the program, dogs and their owners will be introduced to exciting games like Air Retrieve and Hydro Dash, designed to enhance retrieving abilities and foster a love for water activities. Special focus will be given to teaching dogs directional turns, a fundamental skill in advanced training. As the course progresses, participants can look forward to applying these newfound skills in practical scenarios, potentially including supervised exercises in a pond during the final week. Whether preparing for competition or simply enriching the bond between dog and owner, this class offers a structured approach to developing a well-rounded and enthusiastic retriever.
