

Julie Mikesell
Julie has been training dogs since 1996, building a wealth of expertise over the years. For 11 years, she helped teach companion obedience classes, working with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. In 2007, she earned her Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor Diploma through Penn Foster Career School.
For the past 11 years, Julie has owned and operated Sporty Dog Daycare in State College, managing and training up to 50 dogs daily. She has also been a canine nutrition consultant for 2.5 years, focusing on how nutrition influences behavior.
In addition to training and consulting, Julie has been breeding and placing Labrador Retriever puppies for 20 years and has been involved in competitive dog showing since 1999. Over her career, she has earned numerous titles with her dogs, including:

Obedience: AKC Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) on 3 dogs, Companion Dog (CD) on 7 dogs, Rally Excellent (RE) on 7 dogs.

Agility: Master Agility Champion (MACH) on 13 dogs and counting.

National Qualifications: Qualified for Nationals in Rally for 4 years, agility for 7 years, and dock diving regionals for 2 years.
